Mise en scene of a video-game for 2 players and a real Avatar. Duration 25 minutes.

A video-game that flows in-between real life and the virtual.

A duel between two players and a living avatar.

Objective: reach the next level, change the avatar, gain live points, and loose it all.

It’s not a body to body, it’s a machine to body.

Multimedia versus flesh-and-bones-and-whatever-the-lungs-give-you.

There are no exceptions, everything is valid.

The velocity, the intuition, manipulation, remote controls are tested to get away with one’s own temperament.

Illustration I made for the latest edition of Naif Magazine.
A real story that happened to me as a little girl.

The one and only time i got a response to a balloon contest, knowing WHERE my balloon flew to: it crossed the inner german border (without a visa!). A boy at the other side of the border found the ballon and contacted me. That’s how i learned about the iron curtain, berlin wall and censorship of western candies….

Art vs Malaria

Naif magazine has launched a new project to fight against Malaria. They invited 12 artists to customize a doll. In the run of the year 2010, the collection will be exposed in various cities in Spain, amongst them Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid. After the tour the dolls will be sold by auction. The money will go to a village in Mali, to support the habitants in their struggle against malaria.

Last week there was a little preview of the artworks, as seen here…

Naif Magazine asked me to do some illustrations for their new 3rd edition, which came just out last week. The little boy illustrates a column about eating habits and that kids HAVE TO get some candiesonce in a while.

And the second image is a map of Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg, illustrating a tour for parents with their kids….

Darlingsisters shot, directed and edited the Music Video for Indonesian Indie-Rock-Band Nervous playning their song “love”. Darlingsisters have directed, shot & edited the nervous video (the song is called “love”) which had been screened on january, 29th 2009 at the presentation of their mini album “TAKE A STEP INTO THE MAZE” at Le Centre Culturel Français de Yogyakarta.

Cube Pusher is a cinematic experimental performance that mixes video, sound, architecture and photography in a project that questions the usually rigid relationship between audience and screen.

Broken down into cubes, the screen becomes a dynamic, variable object that can interact with images, generating a dialogue in which the viewer is invited to leave behind his role as passive observer of two-dimensional images and participate in the movement.
