A SciFi performance by Karla Kracht
The Ghost in the Machine project is a complex, ongoing exploration, fragmented into several evolving chapters and formats. At its core, the performance imagines ceremonies of a future where humans no longer exist, leaving robots to carry forward distorted interpretations of our traditions —a persistent echo of what once was. This work manifests as a faux documentary, a video-object performance that intertwines drawings, sculptures, live video, light design, soundscapes, and special effects. Each object or artifact, carefully crafted, unveils peculiar rituals in a post-human world, offering an ironic yet oddly familiar reflection of how these remnants of our culture might be misinterpreted and reenacted by our mechanical successors.
