17 July 2020 – Art Touch (Taiwan)
Room 1118 Art Gallery
Entering the bathroom exhibition room is greeted by the traces of the broken history and the humorous dolls who have walked out of the historical scars. With the lighting and sound effects, you can especially feel the sense of turbulence conveyed by the artist. (Reference room of this publication)
Artland Gallery specially invited German multimedia artist Karla Kracht to create an exhibition space, themed “Revolution” through bizarre pale characters and scenes, eerie sound effects and lighting. (Reference room of this publication)
Corresponding to the theme of this year’s art fair, Artland Gallery exhibited the sculptures of Erté, the father of Art Deco, as well as the works of Taiwanese and Southeast Asian artists. Interestingly, it entered the bathroom exhibition for screenings. What catches the eye are the traces of broken history and humorous dolls that have stepped out of the scars of history. The gallery specially invited German multimedia artist Karla Kracht, who has collaborated with well-known theater director Andrés Beladiez. Scenes, eerie sound effects and lighting create an exhibition room with the theme of “revolution and revolution”. In this turbulent 2020, this exhibition room has a particularly healing and soothing effect. If you experience it yourself, it will bring profound feelings.
