Stealing Joules from the graveyard

My newest obsession is how to steal joules from a battery graveyard. Battery ghosts come to life!
Again I stumbled upon the concept of Joule Thief (originally Aruma pointed it out to me last year at Territorio Lupaqa), which allows you to squeeze the last bits of power from a battery.

A) good for using “dead” batteries and

B) good for boosting LEDs from a low power source.

Normally they need at least 3V to lighten up, here I use 1.5V batteries. Ah, and … now I can use the much smaller LR44 and similar versions! For less bulky ghosts and goddesses… More on this soon, they are in the making.
