Cyborg Goddess #5 – Roja

The first location specific goddess.

For a two week residency in Roja, Latvia, I investigated about local ancient culture and traditions. Combining with elements of the local fishing industry and astro science, I used ceramics, embroidery and electronic waste from the village to create this creature. She has a fisher net with a silver and a golden fish, the logo of the village. In the other hand she carries fish cans, by local fish can factory.

The goddess is exposed at the local fisher museum in the Captain’s room.
