Cyborg Goddess #17 – dancing with the ghosts / Baghua Goddess

The journey of Divine Cyborgs #17 – dancing with the ghosts unfolds as a science fiction film in real-time, a creation that germinated during a 7-month artistic residency at the Taipei Digital Art Center and Instant42 in Taiwan. The project blossomed further at Nau Bostik in Barcelona and continued its evolution at the Can Timoner Center in Santanyí, Menorca. The grand premiere took place at the Lafayette Electronic Arts Festival in April 2022, Lafayette (CO), USA.

Divine Cyborgs #17 is a multidisciplinary spectacle weaving together scenic techniques, multimedia, comics, illustration, computer animation, and object theater.

The meaning of the Baghua Goddess

Her ancient earthly attributes are misleading since no organic being influenced the creation of this idol. She is considered the first 100% machine-made divinity. Supposedly, the skulls originate from the last generation of humanity. AI of this time assumed that ancient human wisdom would live on in the bones of the deceased. In those days, their indoctrinated systems were still hardwired on the dependence of human intelligence.

She appears in the latest state of humanity. Evidently, her super powers were closely related to quantum mechanics. The built in uncertainty of all her operations were evil to human logic. Possibly her appearance was the final strike on mankind.

By the prime of her worship, human neurological models were becoming rather wasteful.

Due to the very recent discovery of the goddess, our computers are busy deciphering its significance and function.
